This coaster is a very different coaster than previous coasters installed at Cedar Point in Sandsky, Ohio.It is different because Maverick is not very tall compared to the" giga coasters " that Cedar Fair had installed at Cedar Point.However, don't even think that Maverick is a tame coaster.It all starts out in the station.The station was previously used as the loading station for White Water Landing.The train then escalates an LSM powered lift and drops down a 95 degree drop.My personal favorite part of the ride is the "accelerating tunnel!" You think that the ride is over when BAM!!!! You suddenly accelerate to 70 miles per hour and then pull into the station.I recommend this coaster to any roller coaster enthusiast.This is my favorite roller coaster at Cedar Point.
